Hey friends,
I got an anonymous note through my website the other day from a concerned supporter informing me the website hosting the photos I linked as “bikini pics” under my MySpace profile photo had been compromised. As a result, the site shows page count numbers (profile views) that portray my online presence in a light that is unflattering and wholly unrealitistic. Because of the “breach”, profiles of models who are essentially unknown wrongly appear to be viewed more than mine, even though roughly 10%* of the traffic coming to this MySpace account was also going there.
This note is as much a thanks as it is to let you know that your anonymous notes have also been received by the website owner and action is being taken.
Best of all, there’s no hacked counter to give my clients, fans, friends or potential clients the wrong impression. Once the site is fixed, I’ll consider linking it back to the original site so the real numbers will speak for themself.
